Location and Site
Onyahsa is blessed with a beautiful setting in its own wooded bay on Lake Chautauqua. It is nestled within over 120 wooded acres that includes a core campus and natural woodlands. Its facilities include a year-round heated lodge, beautiful winterized dining hall, sports fields, nature areas, cabins, and tents.
Camp Store / Crafts
The Ungerman Camp Store will be in operation throughout the Summer, offering daily snacks. Beginning in 2008, there is no extra store/crafts fee, so please do not send extra money with campers unless they wish to purchase merchandise upon check-in or check-out.
Onyahsa Outfitters
Onyahsa merchandise is also available on site at “Onyahsa Outfitters,” and includes T-shirts, baseball caps, hoodies, water bottles, and many other new articles.
Location and Directions
The Camp is located on Route 430 (East Lake Road) in Dewittville, New York, 14728; only fifteen minutes from Chautauqua Institution, twenty minutes from Jamestown, NY, forty minutes from Warren, PA, forty-five minutes from Erie, PA; two hours from Cleveland, OH, and seventy-five minutes from Buffalo, NY. For international and long-distance travelers, transportation to and from Jamestown and Buffalo-Niagara, NY International air, rail, and bus terminals are available for an extra fee. (Direct air service to Jamestown is now available from Cleveland). Local transportation is available from Dunkirk and Jamestown. Please inquire for transportation schedules and more details prior to making other travel arrangements for your camper.
